Compton Fibre Newsletter No.1

Dear reader,

Thanks to you and 32 other Compton residents, in less than three weeks in February we collected enough requests for government Rural Gigabit vouchers to fund the delivery of Full Fibre in Compton, with a few to spare.

Contract Signed: We formed the required company and signed the contract just before the coronavirus lockdown. So now we have to wait for news of planned dates from Openreach. Of course, the coronavirus emergency may affect the timetable, but at least we're in the queue.

If you signed up but haven’t been asked to validate your voucher yet, don’t worry. If people move away or are otherwise unable to take up the fibre when it’s available, your voucher may be needed later.

About this newsletter: We set up this newsletter so that we can send you occasional updates about the project. But there probably won't be much to report for a while. You can always keep an eye on the project website at cfp.comptonshawford.uk.

In case you want to know the details, below are the two most recent communications from Openreach, with a list of milestones reached in March.

If you have any questions, reply to this email or call me on 01962 606957.

with best wishes
